Social Hub Components

These are the Components currently available when building a Social Hub.

Climbable Component

Using the Climbable Component on Objects in your experience will let players discover and explore areas of interest. It’s also a great way to make sure you are utilising the entire LAND to its maximum capacity.

Set up an obstacle course, or some hidden zones for those willing to climb to the highest points. Either way, this is one Component you won’t want to leave out of your experience.

Speaker Component

The Speaker Component provides another opportunity to share information with visitors to your Hub. This will only be seen by the individual player, and not synced to other players in the experience.

When an Object with the Speaker Component is interacted with by pressing ‘E’ it will pop up a text box for the user. These text boxes can be filled with whatever you would like to share key insights, clues, or instructions.

Rarity VFX Component

The Rarity VFX Component is a great tool to draw the eye, highlighting points of interest for your participants.

The effect can be used to show your collection of NFTs, with the glow colour depending on the rarity of the asset.

You can also make the underlying asset invisible, which will leave the glowing effect available to apply in other creative ways!

Image & NFT Display Components

If your community has an NFT PFP collection, what better way to feature them than to have them displayed inside the Metaverse!

The NFT Display Component allows you to link from OpenSea straight to an Object with a frame. At the moment this is limited to static images (gifs and video aren’t supported yet) but it is an excellent way to decorate your social hub with some unique pieces from your collection.

For a step-by-step guide on how to link a frame to an NFT on OpenSea, check out the tutorial here.

If you are looking to customized the displays in your experience even further, consider using VoxEdit to turn an image into a voxel-based Asset, and then bring it into The Sandbox!

Indicator Component

The Indicator Component can be used to permanently show text above an object, such as an objects name.

The options within the Indicator Component also allow creators to display a message when a player gets close to the object, which shows how they can interact with the object.

By switching on the Quest Cursor in the Indicator Component, a display will appear above the object showing how far away the player is from the object.

The Quest Cursor section of the Indicator Component, which are usually used for building quests, won’t function in a multiplayer environment.
