Shift Modifier

Use the shift key to give your camera a speed boost.

Shift allows you to move faster while executing certain camera movements with the keyboard.

This can dramatically speed up your workflow by enabling you to navigate your Game Maker experience quickly and easily.

⌨️ Using the Keyboard

Using Shift to modify the speed of your camera only works with the Keyboard while Zooming and Panning.

Hold down Shift while Zooming using W or S to get a boost while moving into or away from the direction you are facing.

Hold down Shift while Panning using A, D, C, or Spacebar will give you a speed burst while moving up, down, left, or right relative to your current field of view.

Using Shift won't change the speed of Panning or Zooming while using your mouse 🖱️.
