Those who surrendered their NFTs got the following benefits:

• Short term: Those who surrendered their The Sandbox MoonCats NFTs received 500 $SAND.

• Long term: Those who surrendered their The Sandbox MoonCats NFTs received a replacement NFT, designed jointly by Ponderware and The Sandbox.

🙀 Compatibility note

The Sandbox MoonCats were not going to be compatible with an updated The Sandbox client or any Ponderware projects. The replacement NFT was designed for future compatibility with The Sandbox game.

The Sandbox also purchased several MoonCats for The Sandbox Foundation, which will be managed by our DAO.
