Buying and Selling on The Sandbox Marketplace (FAQ)

The marketplace will allow you to purchase voxel ASSETs (such as buildings, decorations, NPCs, hostile enemies, etc) which can be placed on LANDs and/or collected.
You will also be able to purchase LANDs and GEMs.
This is an upcoming feature. But yes, you will be able to rent LANDs from The Sandbox Marketplace.
The price of an NFT sold on The Sandbox Marketplace is entirely up to the artists or seller of that NFT. The seller would need to ensure the price is fair and competitive based on scarcity, uniqueness and so on.
Yes, transactions performed on The Sandbox Marketplace will require $SAND, which is the currency of the platform. You will also need ETH for the gas fees.
There is a 5% processing fee on all $SAND transactions. This fee is automatically added to the $SAND amount that the seller charges. For example, if an artist charges 500 $SAND for an ASSET, the ASSET will be listed at 525 $SAND on the marketplace.
This fee goes back into the Foundation, which is used to fund artists, creators and their fantastic projects. Meta transactions within the marketplace will eliminate gas fees.
You can sell ASSETs, LAND, GEMs and you will also be able to rent out LAND too.
This is up to the seller. However, they will need to be fair and competitive in order to attract a buyer. Factors such as quality of ASSETs, uniqueness of ASSETs, size of LAND, location of LAND and so on need to be taken into account in your pricing in order to attract the right buyer.
$SAND is the currency of The Sandbox, so all sales within the marketplace will be in $SAND.
