Account Access

Access to experiences and their assets are tied to a single user account.

Create an Account at The Sandbox

Creators will need to have an account at The Sandbox. This account set-up will grant access to The Sandbox Dashboard as well as the Game Maker and will require a cryptocurrency wallet (such as MetaMask) to be connected to the account.

If you don't already have an account set up and you intend to work in a team or allow external parties access to your account, then it is important to consider some of the following points when creating and managing your account.

Managing Account Access

You can’t edit an Experience from multiple accounts.

Only one account will have access to all of the ASSETs and experiences being built.

This is important to know because if you are working in a team this account will have to be shared in order to manage the assets and experiences associated with the account.

As The Sandbox grows, so too will the tools for collaboration and teamwork. New features will be implemented in the future, so keep your eye out for updates.

We recommend setting up and organising your account by creating:

  • One management email address and password to create your account at The Sandbox.

  • One MetaMask wallet to use with The Sandbox account.

The Sandbox Dashboard can be accessed from any browser using the management email and password, but this will not give access to the associated wallet unless it has been logged into separately.

The Game Maker can also be accessed from any computer using the same email address and password used for the Dashboard, but this won't give access to the associated wallet unless it has been logged into separately.

The login details for the wallet should only be known by team members who manage $SAND, ETH, LANDs, and NFTs.

Consider using a specific account for each experience. One per client if you are producing content for different IPs. In the future, you will be able to send the experience and ASSETs to them directly.
